We are excited to announce this year’s PJ for Prems day and invite local childcare centres and kindergartens to participate!
PJ for Prems is a fundraising pyjama day in support of the Special Care Nursery at Werribee Mercy Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Special Care Nursery at Mercy Hospital for Women to mark World Prematurity Day.
World Prematurity Day is about raising awareness of preterm birth – babies born too soon and the risks and health challenges they can face. These little ones need loads of love and support and World Prematurity Day is a chance to show it.
On World Prematurity Day, Friday 17th November, we’re asking you to host a PJ for Prems day in your centre and encourage your families to dress their children in their PJs and bring along a gold coin donation!
All funds raised through PJs For Prems will be directed to the Special Care Nursery at Werribee Mercy Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Special Care Nursery at Mercy Hospital for Women. This will help purchase materials and vital equipment necessary to continue to provide care for sick and premature babies and support their families.
