Our story began when Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, received a generous inheritance from her friends in 1819, allowing her to establish the House of Mercy in 1827. Catherine’s friends’ legacy lives on beyond their lifetime. Yours can too.

Today, we continue to bring that gift to life for the people we serve. Since 1920, Mercy Health has continued to grow and we now provide acute and subacute hospital care, aged care, palliative care, mental health programs, maternity services, specialist women’s healthcare, early parenting services and home and community care.

As we look to the future, our patient care, medical research, and range of service needs will continue to grow. A gift in your Will to Mercy Health Foundation will support Mercy Health to advance health outcomes and research to provide the best possible care to those who need it in our hospitals, aged care homes and community services.
